It’s also important for us to examine your skin, as well as check your medical history, to ensure there are no contraindications that could restrict or prevent a treatment using the Sciton Moxi Laser.
Once we are in agreement that this treatment would be suitable for you to undergo, your practitioner can formulate a treatment plan, bespoke to your skin concerns. You can then book your first treatment session.
What happens during a Sciton Moxi laser treatment?
Before the treatment takes place, a topical anaesthesia will be applied, around 45 minutes beforehand. After the numbing cream has taken effect, the laser will be passed over the treatment areas of your skin. You will feel a warming sensation, however, most patients find that the treatment is entirely tolerable. A cooling device will also be used, to help ensure that you are comfortable and any potential post-treatment swelling is minimised.
How long does a Sciton Moxi treatment take?
The rapid process takes around 15 minutes (without numbing time), depending on the size of the area to be treated. It’s a perfect option for those with little time to spare.
Are there any side-effects to a treatment using the Sciton Moxi laser?
There is no significant or clinical downtime with a Sciton Moxi laser treatment. However, as you may experience some slight redness and a warm sensation, post-treatment. This is quite normal and should not stop you from continuing your daily activities, following your treatment, as long as you adhere to any aftercare instructions, given to you by your practitioner.
How many treatments will I need?
This all depends on your individual requirements and the severity of your skin concerns. However, you could most likely start to see significant results in just 1 or 2 treatments.
How long will the results last?
You can expect your results to last up to 6 months. However, we do recommend top up sessions every 4 to 6 months to maintain your results.
