The Profhilo® treatment journey at London Real Skin
Start with a free consultation with our expert Aesthetic Doctors. During your visit, they’ll review your medical history and discuss whether Profhilo® treatment is right for you, possibly suggesting other treatments for the best outcomes. If you choose Profhilo® and it’s suitable, you can have your first one of three treatments on the same day.
The treatment involves injections in the mid-lower face, improving even the under-eye area indirectly. You might feel a brief sting, and small lumps could appear, disappearing within 24 hours. Avoid applying anything on the treated area for 6 hours post-treatment, and follow the aftercare advice given. Results are visible after four weeks, with a follow-up treatment recommended in four weeks to enhance the effect.

During this appointment, your practitioner will determine whether the skin concern you are looking to target is suitable for Profhilo® treatment. They will also review your medical history to ensure it is safe for treatment to go ahead.
While the risks associated with Profhilo® treatment is minimal, you need to fully disclose your medical history prior to treatment, as certain allergies, skin and neurological conditions, or medications can jeopardise your safety or results. Anti-inflammatory medication (e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen) or blood thinners need to be stated before commencing, as these increase the chance of bruising.

How long do Profhilo® results last?
Profhilo® has already built a good reputation for longer-lasting results than other injectable treatments.
Profhilo® Face is minimum of two treatments, with the option to have a third top-up treatment for optimum results, resulting in the benefits lasting for 6 months – up to 1 year.
As always, results can vary from person to person depending on how your body reacts to injectable treatments.
Is Profhilo® a type of filler?
No. Profhilo® is not a type of filler, and it doesn’t work in the same way. Profhilo® results provide an overall more youthful, glowing complexion, where fillers aim to target specific areas of lost volume or enhancement.
Profhilo® is a water-like gel, with a free-flowing consistency, this makes it possible for the product to spread beneath the skin. It is injected in small amounts in areas across the mid-lower face for deep hydration and to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Profhilo® is not the same thick viscosity as filler and rather covers a larger area, than confined to a targeted area like filler would.
Is Profhilo® worth the money?
The simple answer would be yes.
