What to Expect When Having Nose Surgery in Melbourne?

Procedure

Recovery

For an open rhinoplasty operation, be prepared for 1-2 weeks of recovery prior to returning to some social and work commitments.
We would encourage wearing the nasal splint for at least 1 – 2 weeks after the operation. Contact sports or heavy manual work should be avoided for at least 2 – 3 months after the operation. Scar management is an integral part of the recovery process following any surgery to help scars mature and fade. While the initial recovery and return to social activities may only take several weeks, the final results of the rhinoplasty will continue to evolve for at least the first 12 months.
