It&#8217;s crucial for parents to recognise these signs:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Immediate Symptoms (within minutes to 2 hours):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Skin reactions:<\/strong> Hives, eczema flare-ups, swelling of lips or eyelids<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digestive symptoms:<\/strong> Vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, colic in babies<\/li>\n<li><strong>Respiratory symptoms:<\/strong> Wheezing, coughing, runny nose, difficulty breathing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Severe reactions:<\/strong> Anaphylaxis with difficulty breathing, rapid pulse, loss of consciousness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Delayed Symptoms (2-72 hours later):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Loose stools, sometimes with blood or mucus<\/li>\n<li>Eczema or skin inflammation<\/li>\n<li>Failure to thrive in infants<\/li>\n<li>Excessive crying or irritability in babies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Any breathing difficulties or signs of severe reaction require immediate medical attention and a call to 000.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The Good News: Most Children Outgrow Milk Allergy<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">One of the most encouraging aspects of milk allergy is that approximately 80% of children will outgrow it by their 16th birthday.
