Sahana Yadhunanthanan is serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Save Minds since 2021. As a true advocate of mental health, she meaningfully and tirelessly works to espouse Save Minds’ motto of “Saving Minds and Changing Lives”.
A graduate of Hult International Business School, she attained her Global Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a specialisation in Management, distinguishing herself as one of the youngest to complete this prestigious programme. Her exceptional academic performance secured her a place within the top 20 per cent of her cohort, earning a 3.55 Grade Point Average, a position on the Dean’s List, and the esteemed Triple Scholar title, awarded in recognition of her achievements in Women in Business, Social Impact, and Finance.
Sahana’s academic journey commenced with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Warwick, where she cultivated a profound understanding of societal structures and human behaviour. She further honed her expertise through both undergraduate and postgraduate legal studies at the University of Law, thereby meeting the rigorous standards required for legal practice in the United Kingdom. As a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Sahana skilfully combines her legal acumen with business insight to drive significant and impactful results.
Her passion for mental health advocacy was ignited during her legal career, where she encountered patients facing severe mental health challenges. This experience, coupled with her family’s long-standing involvement in healthcare, compelled her to pursue meaningful change. Her grandfather, a highly esteemed entrepreneur in Sri Lanka, successfully established and operated several enterprises, including private hospitals. Her father, an equally esteemed dual consultant in anesthesia and intensive care, founded Save Minds, the United Kingdom’s first premier private provider of psychedelic treatment.
Through her Global Executive MBA, which encompassed extensive education in London, Dubai, and Boston, Sahana acquired a sophisticated understanding of global business dynamics. In her capacity as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a medical application company, she identified and addressed a critical gap in the continuity of patient care, devising an innovative technology solution to bridge the divide between initial consultation, ongoing treatment and patients’ response to interventions.
At Save Minds, Sahana remains steadfast in her commitment to making available “innovative rapid acting antidepressant treatment” to people suffering from severe mental health issues, a scourge which has crippled human minds for centuries.
